Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Teach Finnish Language A Literature / Language & Literature at the IB Diploma Programme level (Standard Level [2 periods/week] or Higher Level [4 periods/week]).
- Deliver engaging, concept-based in-person lessons on campus tailored to the student's level and academic goals.
- Regularly assess student progress, prepare students for IB external and internal assessments, and provide detailed feedback to parents.
- Work closely with the WLP Coordinator Secondary School to ensure alignment with IB standards and curriculum requirements.
- Efficiently manage teaching resources to create a high-quality educational environment.
Who we are looking for:
You will thrive in this role if you possess:
- Native or near-native proficiency in Finnish.
- University degree in Finnish Language/Literature or a recognized teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme (Language A: Literature or Language & Literature) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in English and/or French.
- Excellent classroom management, organizational, and pedagogical skills.
Your personal attributes:
- A dynamic approach to teaching with the ability to inspire students through creative styles.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Previous experience in an international school environment is considered a distinct advantage.
