- What is Ecolint's commitment?
We would like to take the occasion to warm heartedly thank our generous donors. Your contribution to the oldest international school in the world furthers the values of humanity, encouraging a global outlook and the respect for difference in a culturally diverse environment.
Please be assured that:
- We direct every cent of every gift you provide to the area of support you choose; if you don’t specify an area, we will align funds for purposes that best advance Ecolint’s priorities. If in the future our priorities change, alternative uses for your restricted donations will be discussed with you where possible.
- You will be informed of the impact philanthropy has on our Foundation.
- We will always be grateful for your support and will always thank and acknowledge your gift promptly.
- Your donation will be used prudently and in the most cost-effective way.
- We will adhere to fundraising best practices and to our Gift Acceptance Policy and you will always have access to the Foundation’s most recent published financial report.
- Our team will be respectful and professional.
- We welcome feedback and take complaints very seriously. We treat them as an opportunity to learn and develop.
- We will only ever contact you according to your stated preference. If at any point your preferences change, we will amend your contact details to what you wish.
- We will respect your right to privacy and confidentiality at all times, complying fully with the law. For more details, consult our Privacy Policy

Important tax deductibility information
- For Swiss tax residents
The Ecole Internationale de Genève is a Swiss public service foundation. Consequently, donations made to this Foundation can benefit from tax deductions.
If the gift is a cash gift, no particular formal contract is required. If the gift is of property, the contract must be formal and notarised and registered with the Registre foncier. The donation is made when the donor transfers the gift to the Foundation.
Whether you are an individual or a company giving to Ecolint, you may deduct gifts up to a maximum of 20% of your net income at the Cantonal level (impôt cantonal) and at the Confederation level (impôt fédéral). i.e. if your annual net income is CHF 100,000.-, you may deduct up to CHF 20,000 in donations. As a result, and on top of helping our students, if your tax bracket is 15%, your gift will only cost you CHF 17,000.
The deduction percentage and the final tax amount that you may save may vary between Cantons, so please contact your tax advisor for further information.
- For U.S. tax residents
Thanks to our equivalency determination through NGOSource, Ecolint is now certified as equivalent to a US public charity. This means that your gift to Ecolint - made online or through the Ecolint-American Foundation - is tax deductible.
- For UK tax residents
To make a tax-deductible donation from the United Kingdom, please consult one of our partners: UK Friends of Ecolint or the Transnational Giving Europe's website and follow the procedure indicated.
- For European tax residents
Residents in certain European countries can make their tax deductible gift online through Transnational Giving Europe's giving platform. If your country is not listed among the options, this means that online giving is not yet available. Please visit Transnational Giving Europe's website for information on making your tax-deductible gift via cheque or bank transfer.
