Why this role matters:

We are seeking an enthusiastic German Teacher to join our Language B department. Your role is vital in giving each student the tools to master the German language while developing a genuine enjoyment for its literature. By teaching across the secondary age range, you will help our students become confident communicators and culturally aware global citizens, perfectly aligning with Ecolint's mission to prepare students for the challenges of their time.


Your role and responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

  • Teach German language and literature with enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Provide additional timetabled support for students requiring learning support in German.
  • Ensure curriculum entitlement and progression is achieved for all students.
  • Contribute actively to the development of teaching and examination resources for the department.
     

Collaboration & Assessment

  • Work closely with colleagues, including a willingness to team-teach classes.
  • Regularly assess student progress, recording and reporting results clearly to parents.
  • Attend regular Language Department meetings and contribute to the department's collective goals.
  • Report directly to the Head of Language B to ensure alignment with school standards.
     

Who we are looking for:

  • Complete command of German (C1/C2 Level).
  • Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to work in English and French (minimum B1 level in the second language).
  • Outstanding classroom management and organisational skills.
