Why this role matters:

Design at Ecolint is a key discipline that combines creativity, technology, and problem-solving. As a Teacher of Design, you play a crucial role in developing the transdisciplinary thinking of our students (aged 11 to 14). By focusing primarily on computer-based projects, you enable students to transform their ideas into concrete solutions, preparing them to become technically skilled and ethically responsible global citizens.
 

Your role & responsibilities:

Teaching Excellence

  • Be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, challenging, and fully inclusive Design lessons.
  • Deliver a curriculum mainly focused on computer-based Design for Secondary School students (aged 11 to 14).
  • Implement various projects including Web design, graphics, architecture, and interior design tailored to this age group.


Enrichment & School Life

  • Contribute to enrichment activities such as the supervision of Extended Essays and Personal Projects.
  • Participate in after-school clubs and departmental field trips.
  • Be involved with the pastoral care of students by serving as a mentor.


Coordination & Communication

  • Maintain excellent classroom management and high organisational standards.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with colleagues and parents regarding student progress.
  • Collaborate with the department to achieve the highest possible standards for all students.


Who we are looking for:

You will thrive in this role if you possess:

  • Education: A Design-related degree and a recognised teaching qualification.
  • IB Expertise: Experience teaching the IBO Middle Years Programme (MYP).
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Design or a related field, ideally in an international setting.
  • Linguistic Skills: English-French bilingualism is considered a substantial advantage.
  • Versatility: The ability to teach another subject is a plus.
