As on-call French-speaking substitute teachers, you play a vital role in maintaining our high educational standards. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating, supportive, and inquiry-based learning environment. You will design and lead engaging learning experiences, aligned with the Primary Years Programme framework, that foster the holistic development of each student.


Your role and responsibilities:

Substitute Positions

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, in accordance with the primary school curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, caring, and stimulating classroom environment that supports students' social and emotional development.
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the overall development of the student.
  • Manage the classroom, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
     

Who we are looking for:

Skills and experience

  • Flexibility and ability to accept work at short notice.
  • Internationally recognized teaching qualification.
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Effective classroom management skills to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diversity of needs and learning styles.
  • Excellent command of French and English (minimum B1 level)
     

Personal qualities

  • Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Collaborative spirit and openness to feedback.

     

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in basic technologies and digital tools used in education, including familiarity with online learning platforms and interactive classroom tools.
