The ENCORE Performing Arts Academy is a vibrant pillar of Ecolint’s extra-curricular programme. As an Early Childhood Drama Teacher, you will be the first to introduce our youngest students (ages 3 to 6) to the world of theatre and self-expression. By leading structured and engaging sessions that support imagination, communication, and confidence, you help build the foundational skills and self-agency that are central to the Ecolint mission.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a year-long curriculum of structured, creative drama sessions specifically tailored for early years (ages 3–6).
  • Lead drama games, storytelling, role-play, and simple devising activities appropriate to the age group.
  • Maintain a calm, inclusive, and well-paced environment that fosters a positive learning experience.
  • Support student participation, imagination, and the development of communication skills.
  • Engage with families and prepare students for informal sharings or end-of-year performances.
  • Take accurate attendance, uphold safeguarding procedures, and potentially contribute to on-call cover teaching within the ENCORE programme.
     

Who we are looking for:

You will thrive in this role if you possess:

  • Recognised training in early childhood education or drama pedagogy (required).
  • Significant experience teaching drama to young children (ages 3 to 6) and a strong understanding of early years development.
  • Ability to lead structured, play-based sessions with clarity, consistency, and a strong classroom presence.
  • Proficiency in English or French (classes may be taught in either language); the ability to teach in both is a distinct advantage.
  • A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss/EU citizenship.

  • A confident and caring approach to working with very young children.
  • Committed to consistency across the 32-week academic year.
  • Able to build rapport quickly with students and communicate effectively with the ENCORE team and parents.
