Join our dynamic team as an on-call public speaking specialist and bring continuity and expertise to our prestigious LAMDA programmes.

As an On-Call Public Speaking Coach, you play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our LAMDA "Speaking in Public" curriculum. By stepping into established, device-free sessions, you ensure continuity for our students, fostering clear thinking and confident communication. You will provide a supportive environment where students can refine their spoken delivery and prepare for successful formal examinations.

Your role and responsibilities:
- Deliver structured, engaging public speaking sessions using your own expertise or provided lesson plans.
- Lead warm-ups and delivery-based exercises focused on spoken communication.
- Facilitate a masterclass-style format in which students present prepared speeches.
- Coach essential skills, specifically focusing on clarity, confidence, and audience engagement.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback aligned with LAMDA learning outcomes.
- Maintain a focused, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Take accurate attendance, uphold safeguarding procedures, and ensure a seamless handover for the regular class coach.
Who we are looking for:
You will thrive in this role if you possess:
- Significant experience teaching or coaching public speaking, presentation, or communication skills to children and teenagers.
- Strong personal experience in spoken communication (e.g., teaching, presenting, performing, or public speaking).
- Relevant training, degree, or certification in a related field (e.g., communication, theatre, education, or equivalent experience).
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required, as LAMDA examinations are conducted in English.
- A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss/EU citizenship.
Your personal attributes:
- Responsive in a cover-teaching context, able to hit the ground running.
- Clear communication skills and a natural ability to command a room.
- Skilled at developing confidence and clarity in young speakers and able to build rapport quickly with students.
