ENCORE is our dedicated performing arts academy, offering high-quality dance, drama groups, and LAMDA exam-preparation courses. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing environment where students can develop their creative talents alongside their academic journey.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Deliver structured, engaging dance sessions using your own expertise or provided lesson plans.
- Lead warm-ups, drama games, storytelling, and simple ensemble/devising activities.
- Facilitate group participation, maintain a positive and inclusive environment, and support students in sharing ideas.
- Adapt quickly to the specific needs of different age groups and class dynamics.
- Take accurate attendance, uphold safeguarding procedures, and ensure a seamless handover for the regular class leader.
Who we are looking for:
You will thrive in this role if you possess:
- Experience teaching drama to children across a range of ages, particularly in primary and early childhood settings.
- Ability to lead structured, play-based sessions, including drama games, storytelling, and role-play.
- Relevant training or certification in drama or drama pedagogy (e.g., creative drama or theatre education).
Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written). - A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss/EU citizenship.
Your personal attributes:
- Responsive in a cover-teaching context, able to hit the ground running in any classroom.
- A creative presence with clear communication skills.
- Able to build rapport quickly with students and manage group participation effectively.
