Foundation
Purchasing Accountant
Full-time - 40 hours/week - permanent contract
Reporting to the Foundation's Accounting Manager, the Accountant will have the following objectives and responsibilities:
Job objective
The Accountant is mainly responsible for the purchasing department, managing and entering invoices, preparing payment lists and acting as a link with the general accounts department.
The Accountant plays an active role in various accounting operations, in collaboration with the department's various employees. He/she manages the various tasks independently and comprehensively and supports the other departments where necessary.
If necessary, he/she supports the 3 Campus Partners on their campuses from the office.
Main responsibilities
- Be responsible for the invoice flow, from order to payment (receiving, distributing, accounting and preparing payment)
- Ensuring that procedures are followed and that expenses are properly allocated on an analytical basis
- Communicate internally and with suppliers regarding payments and invoices, and report any problems encountered. Dealing with questions and emails from suppliers, external or internal customers within 24 hours
- Actively participate in the administrative tasks of the Finance department as a whole
- Manage databases
- Suggesting improvements to accounting processes and workflows
- Maintain good working relations with the Foundation's other departments and support them in their financial tasks
- Assist Campus Partners Finance or the Director of Finance and Administration as required.
Candidates requirements
- CFC in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years' experience in accounting
- Good teamwork, active listening and ability to make proposals
- Able to work in a changing environment
- Ability to summarise and analyse
- Able to work independently and proactively
- English or French mother tongue with an excellent level in the other language
- Very good knowledge of IT systems (Excel), knowledge of Selectline, Jedox and Docuware are an asset.
