La Grande Boissière (LGB) campus is centrally located in Geneva and blends a mix of 18th Century buildings with cutting edge STEM and Arts facilities. The bilingual (French and English) campus is home to close to 1,900 students across the Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools. Our unique Universal Learning Programme, co-designed with UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education, seeks to anchor learning in deep conceptual understanding and the assessment of Ecolint’s global competences, to ensure that the outcome of learning makes some positive social impact.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR

Part-time - 2 hours per week
Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) - from 12:30 to 13:00

 

Job purpose:

  • As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you play a key role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and good behavior of students during lunch breaks. You provide guidance during meal times and outdoor play, supporting the school’s educational values in a caring and multicultural environment.

     

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise primary students during lunch and playtime (indoor if weather requires).
  • Accompany students during transitions between class, cafeteria, and playground.
  • In the cafeteria:
    • For younger students: set and clear tables, help serve meals, support with eating.
    • For older students: supervise the queue, lunch, and clearing of dishes.
  • Ensure students follow hygiene rules and dietary restrictions (e.g. allergies).
  • Promote positive behavior and resolve minor conflicts peacefully.
  • Monitor safety and well-being, alert the nurse if needed.
  • Engage with students kindly and supportively.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff.

 

Personal requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with children aged 3 to 12 (school, childcare, coaching…).
  • Comfortable working with children and attentive to their needs.
  • Culturally aware, patient, and empathetic.
  • Calm, takes initiative, and is a true team player.
  • Open to feedback and flexible in approach.
  • Fluent in English or French, with a working knowledge of the other.
  • Friendly, polite, and professional.
