Dance Teacher
Founded in 1924, the Ecole Internationale de Genève (Ecolint) welcomes 4,500 students aged 3 to 18, representing more than 130 nationalities. La Grande Boissière
To complete our ENCORE Performing Arts Academy teacher team, we are looking for a:
Dance Teacher (experience in Rhythmic Gymnastics a plus)
Part-time: Wednesdays from 13h00 to 15h15
Our “Gym-Dance” classes combine contemporary dance with elements of rhythmic gymnastics (ribbons and hoops) to create playful and engaging choreographies for children.
All of our children’s dance classes emphasize teamwork in a nurturing and supportive environment while building flexibility, coordination, rhythm, and artistic expression.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, skill-based lessons
- Manage with precision the administrative tasks linked to the post
- Attend a team meeting each term
- Follow recommended professional development training
- Prepare students for performance in the year-end recital
- Support and assist with the year-end recital
Candidate requirements:
- “Jeunesse et Sport” Swiss diploma (or similar dance-related diploma) is a distinctive advantage
- Experience in teaching contemporary dance (e.g., hip-hop, street dance, break dance, contemporary jazz, gym-dance, etc.) to children between 5 and 12 years old
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Serious, dynamic, flexible
- Valid work permit or Swiss citizen
- French and English both spoken and written
- A love of working with children
