Accountant 

Full-time - 40h/week - 1-year fixed-term replacement contract

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the GL Accountant meets the following objectives and responsibilities:

Job purpose:

The Accountant's role is to liaise autonomously between the various employees in the department, while supporting the 3 Campus Partners from the office.

Responsible for account reconciliation, he/she will liaise with other Foundation departments. He/she will also be involved in reporting in the broadest sense of the term (preparation of monthly reports, cost center analysis, budget monitoring, etc.).

The Accountant's role is also focused on automating/simplifying various tasks and processes. He/she will be responsible for monitoring and updating accounting procedures.

The Accountant will also support the purchasing department with invoice management and entry, as well as the sales department where necessary.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Reconciliations of the various balance sheet accounts. 
  • Extraction, entry and posting of automatic lists (cash, copies, suppliers, salaries, online payments, LSV, etc.).
  • Monitoring of budgets (travel, professional training, etc.), analysis and preparation of monthly reporting.
  • Act as central point of contact for Finance Campus Partners.
  • Create and update employees and their access to our various databases.
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations of various accounts.
  • Drive automation and improve process flow in collaboration with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments.
  • Perform other tasks customary in the general accounting department (in addition, enter payments by transfer, direct debit in various currencies, approve refunds, etc.) .

 

Candidates Requirements:

  • CFC in accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, active listening and ability to make suggestions.
  • Able to work in a changing environment.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze information.
  • Able to work independently and proactively.
  • Fluent French or English with an excellent level in the other language.
  • Very good knowledge of computer systems (Excel), knowledge of Selectline, Jedox and Docuware as well as the programming language PHP are an asset.
