Currently offered exclusively at Campus des Nations, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Career-related Programme (CP) is an alternative level 3 qualification to the IB Diploma and has three components: a professional qualification (BTEC) in either business studies or art, a flexible choice of IB Diploma Programme courses, and the core, which includes community and service, a personal and professional skills course, language development and a reflective project (an equivalent of the extended essay). All these elements contribute to enhance individual critical thinking and intercultural understanding.
The CP allows students to deepen their understanding in all areas of knowledge studied, engaging in a holistic education model that fosters an enthusiasm for lifelong learning. It enables students to capitalise on their strengths.
Designed as a flexible course for students who wish to either go onto university or develop their career opportunities directly in the world of work, the CP helps students develop the communication and personal skills necessary for success, providing a practical, real-world approach to learning which is underpinned by essential subject theory. It prepares students both for higher education and for their future professional lives.
