Founded in 1924, the Ecole Internationale de Genève (Ecolint) welcomes 4,500 students aged 3 to 18, representing more than 130 nationalities. TEACHER OF FINNISH

Part-time – 2 hours per week in our World Language Programme (WLP).

 

Job purpose:

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic Finnish Teacher for our WLP programme. The post holder will be a passionate and dynamic teacher, able to inspire students through a variety of creative teaching styles. The post holder is reporting to the WLP Coordinator.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Finnish as a foreign or native language to all levels
  • Attend regular Department meetings
  • Regularly assess the progress of students, record and report those results to parents
     

Personal requirements:

Professional experience required:

  • Strong experience of teaching Finnish 
  • Experience working for an international school would be an asset

 

Personal attributes required:

  • Native proficiency in Finnish
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Passionate about teaching and their subject area
  • Ability to work in French and English
  • Ensure curriculum is accessible to all students in line with our inclusive mission
  • Good communication skills with colleagues and parents.
