Middle School Principal

The International School of Geneva (Ecolint) has a proud history as the world’s first international school and the birthplace of the International Baccalaureate (IB).  With 4,500 students, state-of-the-art facilities, three impressive campuses, and a richly diverse student body, Ecolint offers a challenging academic and co-curricular programme, and an intense focus on preparing young people for their futures in an interconnected and global community.

La Grande Boissière (LGB) campus is centrally located in Geneva and blends a charming mix of old and new buildings, including the ultra-modern Centre des arts and brand-new STEM Centre. The bilingual (French and English) campus is home to close to 1,900 students across the Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools. Welcoming 533 students between the ages of 9 and 13 years, the Middle School provides an inclusive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to become increasingly autonomous and equipped to transition successfully into the secondary school system.

Ecolint is now seeking a Middle School Principal for La Grand Boissière campus. The Middle School is complex and requires a strong and experienced people manager and an inspirational and innovative educational leader, who is passionate about student learning and has the drive and commitment to inspire students and teachers. The Middle School Principal will provide expertise around emerging trends in pre-adolescent education, administer and manage the operations of the Middle School, and inspire faculty, staff, and students to be active, engaged learners.

The new Middle School Principal will be an experienced educational practitioner with strong management and leadership skills, earned in a variety of international school environments.  They will be inclusive, globally-minded and emotionally-intelligent with a commitment to the transformative power of education. In addition, they will have a deep and natural connection to students and exceptional skills in communication and collaboration, enabling them to take a prominent role in both the LGB and wider Ecolint communities.

Ecolint welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences and is determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
