La Grande Boissière (LGB) campus is centrally located in Geneva and blends a mix of 18th Century buildings with cutting edge STEM and Arts facilities. The bilingual (French and English) campus is home to close to 1,900 students across the Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools. Our unique Universal Learning Programme, co-designed with UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education, seeks to anchor learning in deep conceptual understanding and the assessment of Ecolint’s global competences, to ensure that the outcome of learning makes some positive social impact.

Middle School ICT Teacher

Responsibilities

  • To teach ICT lessons throughout the Middle School. 
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully use a variety of platforms, hardware and software.
  • An understanding of coding and computer programming fundamentals.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with colleagues on the preparation and development of teaching materials, team planning, teaching programs and methods.
  • Assume pedagogical supervision and follow-up of students, as well as their well-being, monitoring attendance and reporting absences.
  • Provide and contribute to oral and written assessments and report on individual students.
  • Participate in professional development appropriate to the Foundation’s objectives and the teacher’s needs and goals.
  • Supervise students as reasonably required.
  • Be willing to play an active role in the wider life of the school.
     

Candidate requirements

  • Teaching qualification as well as a degree in Educational Technology Computer Science or a closely related field
  • At least two years experience working with middle school students (year 5-8)
  • Demonstrate the Ecolint Principles of Learning in their daily practice
  • Experience designing and delivering digital citizenship, digital literacy, emerging technologies, materials and workshops
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team
  • Ability to support teachers in integrating technology into lessons
  • Google Educator certification
  • Excellent command of English with a good command of French (Level B1) 
  • Knowledge of other languages desirable
