INTERN ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGIST/COUNSELLOR FOR CHILDREN/ADOLESCENTS
One-year contract - Part-time, 36 hours per week over 37 weeks
The Secondary School offers a unique learning environment tailored to the academic and personal development needs of children aged 9 to 13, during the critical early adolescent years. Your primary responsibility will be to support the mission of the Secondary School's school psychologist.
Specific duties:
Under the clinical supervision of the Secondary School's school psychologists, you will perform the following tasks:
- Provide a space for listening, mediation, and counseling for students individually and in groups. Provide direct support in crisis situations. Conduct prevention activities with groups, classes, or small groups of students on various topics related to child protection and mental health promotion.
- Participate in classroom observations, psychological assessments, and the implementation of psychological follow-ups outside of the school.

- Good ability to build trust, integrate, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (children, families, teachers, learning support team, management team)
- Respect the professional framework, ethics, and professional confidentiality
- Good ability to work effectively with teams.
Required qualifications:
- This opportunity is designed as a paid professional internship. It is therefore primarily aimed at young psychologists, those nearing the end of their Master's degree or having recently completed their Master's degree in Psychology. An internship agreement must be signed between the student, the academic supervisor, and the institutional manager before the start of the internship.
- Required: Fluency in English or French with excellent oral communication skills in the other language (level C1).
- Desirable: Experience working with children in a multicultural environment.
Working conditions:
- This contract covers the 37 working weeks of the 2025-2026 school year, from August 25, 2025, to June 21, 2026. The vacation period corresponds to the students' school holidays, i.e., 7 weeks.
The organization of the 36-hour weekly work schedule will be determined with the school psychologists. Daily attendance is expected.
