Extended Support Teacher (full-time - one year contract, sabbatical replacement)

Founded in 1924, the Ecole Internationale de Genève (Ecolint) welcomes 4,500 students aged 3 to 18, representing more than 130 nationalities. Our 1,250 staff from all over the world work on our three campuses (La Grande Boissière and Campus des Nations in Geneva, La Châtaigneraie in the canton of Vaud).

In our 7 schools, our students benefit from international teaching and bilingual supervision of the highest quality.

Campus des Nations is the most recent campus in the International School of Geneva Foundation. Located in the heart of Geneva’s international quarter, this campus has quickly established itself as an educationally pioneering school committed to putting student learning at the centre of all its activities. Campus des Nations is proud to be an International Baccalaureate World School. Our programmes are based on the IB’s ‘Learner Profile’, a set of ideals that inspire, motivate and focus the work of the school and help students to become more thoughtful, moral, cultured and caring. Fostering these qualities is at the heart of all we do.

Extended Support Teacher (full-time - one year contract, sabbatical replacement)

Ecolint welcomes all learners and addresses their educational and socio-emotional needs by developing autonomy, agency and self-advocacy through clearly defined programmes and support structures.
The Extended Support Programme is designed to meet the needs of students with moderate to severe learning difficulties who require more support to access learning than the mainstream classroom and learning support. Each ESP pupil has a place in a mainstream class while benefiting, individually or in very small groups, from teaching periods in the ESP departments. With a ratio of one teacher to two students, we are able to create personalised timetables that meet the needs of the students and take into account both their individual profile and the composition of the group formed by the other students on the programme. The teacher draws up individual learning plans and timetables for each student in collaboration with the main teacher. The teacher differentiates lessons and supports students' learning in the ordinary classroom and provides targeted lessons within the ESP programme according to each student's individual learning objectives.
