La Châtaigneraie Community Orchestra

La Châtaigneraie's Community Orchestra is dedicated to nurturing and facilitating a community appreciation for music. The orchestra's aim is to support motivated adult and student musicians in the development of their musical potential through ensemble work and the performance of a wide variety of symphonic music.

Open to the Geneva community, La Châtaigneraie Community Orchestra (LCCO) is a teaching orchestra composed of musicians of all ages.

No fees are required for orchestra membership. Each orchestra section is headed by professional musicians and teachers creating a high level of performance. Members may choose to participate in all or selected pieces from the repertoire.

Participation in LCCO can be counted as a CAS activity (for IBDP and IBCP students).

Rehearsals begin in April on Thursdays from 19h15-21h15 at La Châtaigneraie campus.

Membership is open to adult and student string, woodwind and brass instrumentalists. Students must be registered by their private teacher.  Learning of the Orchestra repertoire by La Chât Music School students will be supported in their private lesson time.
