What they say...

"I went to the Maths Quest at the British School of Paris in 2012 where I was hosted by a very nice and friendly family. The competition was very interesting and the tour of the city while competing was an especially stimulating part of the trip. In preparation to and during the Maths Quest, I learned skills that have helped me all through secondary school up to now in year 11. It was overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone and am very enthusiastic about La Chat hosting it this year." Alberto "I was one of the students who went to the Maths Quest in Oslo, Norway in 2015. It was a very interesting and enjoyable experience. The host families were very nice too. Every day we did different activities. We visited some really fascinating museums. I personally thought the last day was the best because we did a construction challenge and the overall winner was announced. We (La Chat) came in third place. This, I really wasn’t expecting. The trip on the plane was very fun too. All of this happened in only three days. I loved it." Nora
"I went on the Maths Quest in 2014, and we got to go to Berlin! It was an amazing experience, being 1 of 4 people in the grade to fly to Germany and enjoy math with like-minded people. The host families were so generous and nice, they even made their own root beer to welcome us! We got to do all these team building exercises that involved putting our brains to work with logic skills, which really helped all of us. Definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is willing to work hard, but also have the time of their lives while they're at it!" Sintra "We were so pleased to have our daughter participate in the team Math Quest event in Berlin in 2014. In addition to the challenge of working through logical, practical and individual problems, she gained confidence working as a part of a team and representing her school. The opportunity to travel internationally, stay with a host family, visit a new school, eat new foods, explore a new city and spend time away from home are some of the benefits of this event. Additionally, it's one of the benefits of the Ecolint community. Our experience was so positive that we are looking forward to hosting students this year at La Châtaigneraie." Chrissy, parent of Sintra.
