The IB Career-related Programme at Campus des Nations

At Campus des Nations, students can combine academic study with real-world professional experience through the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP).

Turn Passion into Purpose

As the only Ecolint campus to offer all four IB programmes, Campus des Nations provides a forward-thinking education that places student growth, creativity, and future pathways at the centre of learning.

The IBCP is a rigorous and flexible two-year programme designed for students aged 16–19 who want to combine strong academic study with focused professional and creative specialisation. Ideal for students with clear interests and ambitions, the CP develops independent thinking, practical expertise, and real-world experience while keeping university and career pathways open.

A Tailored Educational Journey

The CP is a flexible "umbrella" qualification that allows students to combine academic rigour with professional specialization.

It consists of three main components:

1. Career-related study: The BTEC International Diploma

Students choose to specialize in one of two career pathways through the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Diploma:

  • Business: Focusing on units such as marketing, finance, international business, and event management.
  • Art and Design: Exploring creative processes through traditional and digital media, including visual recording, photography, illustration, and digital image manipulation.

BTEC qualifications are internationally recognised by universities and employers in more than 100 countries and provide a practical, hands-on approach to learning.

2. IB Diploma Programme Subjects

To ensure academic breadth, CP students choose between two and four IB Diploma Programme subjects. These can be taken at either Higher Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL) from a wide range of groups including Languages, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts.

3. The CP Core

The core components are designed to develop interdisciplinary skills and personal growth:

  • Personal and Professional Skills (PPS): A taught course (four periods a week) developing transferable skills such as teamwork, ethics, and critical thinking.
  • Community Engagement: Students apply their skills to real-life situations by identifying and meeting a community need by consistent engagement and demonstration of the learning outcomes over the two years.
  • Reflective Project: An independent, in-depth analysis of an ethical dilemma related to the student's career study.
  • Language and Cultural Studies: Ensuring students develop communicative and intercultural competence in a second language through at least 70 hours of teacher guided and independent inquiry study.

The IB Career-related Programme is ideal for students who:

  • Want a more personalised pathway
  • Learn best through practical, applied experiences
  • Have clear interests in business, design, or creative industries
  • Want to combine university preparation with professional skills

Where can the CP lead: Results and University Destinations

CP students at Campus des Nations graduate with both the IBCP qualification and a High School Diploma. Combining academic study with career-focused specialisation, the programme prepares students for diverse pathways including specialised colleges, art and design schools, and traditional university degrees. Far from being a “lighter” alternative to the Diploma Programme, the CP is a rigorous and demanding pathway that requires students to balance IB academic courses, independent research, and applied professional learning. Since 2020, Campus des Nations CP students have consistently achieved a 100% pass rate, reflecting both the strength of the programme and the commitment of our students.

Universities including Stanford University and School of the Art Institute of Chicago, for example, confirm that students completing the IB Career-related Programme are eligible applicants and value the combination of academic study, portfolio development, independent learning, and creative specialisation offered by the CP.
