Founded in 1924, the Ecole Internationale de Genève (Ecolint) welcomes 4,500 students aged 3 to 18, representing more than 130 nationalities. La Grande Boissière (LGB) campus is centrally located in Geneva and blends a mix of 18th Century buildings with cutting edge STEM and Arts facilities. The bilingual (French and English) campus is home to close to 1,900 students across the Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools. Our unique Universal Learning Programme, co-designed with UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education, seeks to anchor learning in deep conceptual understanding and the assessment of Ecolint’s global competences, to ensure that the outcome of learning makes some positive social impact.

Learning Support Teacher

Part-time - 16 Periods

Responsibilities:

  • Work with students and lead small group sessions with students with a focus on language and learning support (eg literacy, neurodivergent profiles Gifted and Talented)
  • Write individual learning goals for students
  • Support the learning of students with expressive and receptive language issues, difficulty with concept formation in all academic domains, multi literateness and organizational challenges
  • Assist the coordinator of learning support regarding the follow up of students
  • Liaise with students, subject teachers, year coordinators, Senior Leadership, Pastoral Team amongst other key members
  • Produce LS and language related reports and documents

     

Candidate Requirements:

  • SEN qualifications or equivalent
  • French first language, with a strong command of English
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of teaching
  • Resourceful, adaptable, accessible
  • Both autonomous and a good team player
  • Good IT, administrative and organizational skills
  • Flexibility with ability to support any academic content
  • Strong interpersonal skills
