The Campus La Châtaigneraie is set amidst the picturesque rolling farms and villages of Founex, overlooking Lake Geneva not far from the city. With a mix of historic and new buildings, the campus is split into a Primary and Secondary school. The international team of educators is devoted to supporting a diverse population of students.

To complete our team, we are looking for a:

Teacher of Visual Arts - 1 year contract
Full-time – 40  Hour(s)29 Period(s)


  • To deliver high quality Visual Arts lessons, in collaboration and coherence with the requirements of the PYP programme
  • To contribute to the Units of Inquiry through the many languages of visual arts, so as to augment and amplify the thinking of students and support the construction of their understanding of the concepts under study
  • To collaborate with class teachers to assess the progress of students, both in the domain of visual arts and the Unit of Inquiry
  • To be willing to collaborate closely with colleagues for the purposes of planning, executing and assessing for learning
  • Have experience of teaching Visual Arts in IB PYP school
  • Teaching students in a dual language structure, or multilingual setting
  • Comfortable working with students from 3-11 years of age
  • Excellent understanding of the values of the languages of visual art and child development

Candidate requirements

  • Be passionate about primary-aged students and visual arts
  • Working innovatively within a variety of  teams
  • Fluently bilingual, English and French and able to teach in both languages
  • A genuine interest in students and their well-being and progress
  • Be an outstanding and inspirational lead learner
  • Be able to manage resources efficiently so that teaching and learning is effectively supported
  • Good communication skills with colleagues and parents
