Founded in 1924 by local educators and civil servants from the International Labour Organisation and the League of Nations, the International School of Geneva (Ecolint) is a world-class, not-for-profit Foundation operating at the forefront of educational excellence.

Ecolint’s student body of 140 nationalities and 80 mother tongues makes it the most diverse school in the world, and among its many pedagogical innovations the best known is the school’s role in creating the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) Programme. Ecolint now comprises eight schools, spread over three impressive campuses in the Geneva region, and with nearly 1300 staff is one of the largest employers in Geneva.

Put simply, our mission is to educate for humanity’s future. In practice, this means we prepare over 4,500 students, from ages 3 to 18, to live lives of consequence as mindful citizens of a rapidly changing 21st century world.

To ensure that we remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence, we are seeking a strategic and creative fundraising practitioner to join us and play a leading role in building our philanthropic engagement efforts.  It will require an exceptional person to build on the achievements of our past, and drive the step change required to take us into our second century.

Reporting to the Director General, you will lead a talented team and work closely with colleagues and friends across the community to develop and embed a robust and successful fundraising strategy and programme.  You will be confident in your ability to operate at this senior level and have substantial experience of working with leading corporate and individual philanthropists to deliver highly successful income generating activities.  To succeed in this role, you will be an inspirational, inclusive and collaborative leader with experience of managing and motivating teams and volunteers, and have an innovative and flexible approach to achieving outstanding results.  Your sophisticated communication and influencing skills and enterprising spirit will inspire those around you and enable you to build long-lasting beneficial relationships for Ecolint.
