To complete our team, we are looking for an:

 

Apprentice Teacher

Full- time fixed term contract one year (09.23 - 08.24)

This is an opportunity* for a teacher who has recently graduated within the past 5 years to gain international work experience at the International School of Geneva for a fixed term placement.

The ideal candidate will support the development and learning of children in a caring, stimulating and creative environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and evaluate all aspects of teaching and learning so as to reflect the central principles of the school’s Programme; the  IB Programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for the planning and implementation of class and outdoor projects
  • Oversee the emotional and social development of the student
  • Support the students’ access to the curriculum, differentiating for languages and other learning needs
  • Participation in school and community events
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continued professional learning

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Education recently obtained
  • Fluent French and/or English, a strong command in the other language would be an asset
  • A strong interest in child-centered pedagogies
