Annual Fund

Every year, our three campuses choose a project that will directly improve or add to our students’ learning environment. We solicit our parents, staff and alumni, over the course of the year, and utilise the funds raised at the start of the next school year, so that students are able to benefit from the changes as quickly as possible.

La Châtaigneraie - target: CHF 80,000

  • Addition of several play huts to enrich the quality of the Primary School’s playground
 

Campus des Nations - target: CHF 45,000

  • At Saconnex: installation of a lighting rig in the Saconnex aula. This will be a highly flexible structure to be used in different ways,
  • At Pregny: upgrade of the sound system in the aula

La Châtaigneraie: results of the special "Matching-Gift Week"

Last year's Annual Fund projects - our thanks and congratulations to all who participated!

LA CHÂTAIGNERAIE - A SUCCESS!
Of a CHF 80,000 target, we raised over CHF 40,000!
Project: a fitness trail winding around our campus

CAMPUS DES NATIONS - AN OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT!
The first campus ever to raise 100% of target: the full CHF 40,000!
Project: we’re concentrating on play both on stage and at break! 

LA GRANDE BOISSIÈRE - A HUGE STEP TOWARDS OUR ARTS CENTRE !
CHF 360,000 raised!  This makes a grand total of CHF 605,000 raised by the LGB community!

The Annual Fund has brought the following projects to life since 2007:

2007-08:
  • Renovation of the Greek Theatre (LGB)
  • Sports equipment for the Sports Centre (La Châtaigneraie)
  • Additional interactive white boards in classrooms (LGB et La Châtaigneraie)
  • An artist in residence (Campus des Nations)
2008-09:
  • Interactive white boards, data logging equipment and laptops (LGB)
  • A climbing wall (La Châtaigneraie)
  • Outdoor play structures at Pregny (Campus des Nations)
2009-10:
  • Theater and performance equipment, i.e. light, sound and action… (La Châtaigneraie)
  • Landscaping of the courtyard behind the Grand bâtiment (LGB)
  • Installation of differentiated rubbish bins to help us improve our recycling rates (LGB)
  • Outside seating for the Saconnex cafeteria (Campus des Nations)
  • Outside work stations with integrated tables and chairs at Pregny (Campus des Nations)
2010-11:
  • Construction of the first 2 exercises points on the campus’ fitness trail (La Châtaigneraie)
  • Installation of play equipment on the re-landscaped playground at Saconnex (Campus des Nations)
  • Replacing of the much-loved wooden train at Pregny (Campus des Nations)
