After the publication by the New York Times of an article on the American novelist Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse 5 or The Children’s Crusade, the Swiss maturité students at La Châtaigneraie, having studied the novel as part of the curriculum, wished to express their disagreement about one of the article’s statements.
A letter signed jointly by the students and their teacher was sent to the New York Times and was published on the 18 December.
The authors of the letter are delighted and proud to have caught the attention of the famous daily newspaper!
