Rana was born in Beirut, Lebanon and currently carries a dual Lebanese and Jordanian nationality. She completed her studies in Beirut where she received a Bachelors degree in Economics and an MBA from the American University of Beirut.
Mrs Bibi has three children, two boys and a girl. The elder son graduated from la Grande Boissière in 2006, attended Tufts University in Boston, USA and is currently working at Morgan Stanley in New York. Her younger son also graduated from La Grande Boissière in 2009 and is currently studying at Northwestern University in Chicago. As for her daughter, she is a student at the La Grande Boissière Secondary School. Before the birth of her children Mrs Bibi worked as an administrative funds manager. Given her family international career, she has lived in eight cities across three different continents (Asia, North America, and Europe) during the past 22 years. She moved to in Geneva in 1999 and expects to remain there in the foreseeable future.
Before her election to the Governing Board in 2008 for a four-year mandate, Mrs Bibi was actively engaged in the school as grade representative, building the PTA website in 2005 , treasurer of the PTA in 2006,and other supportive roles within the school community.
Mrs Bibi is the Chairperson of the Health and Safety Committee and of the Committee on Nominations.
